9. Align your professional and personal interests where possible.
Always keep in mind that everything communicates — every action, every social media post, every personal appearance, every presentation, etc. I try to align my professional and personal interests and actively support both through how I spend my time, whom I spend time with, the boards I join, the organizations I support and so on.
